Composite Decking With Steps
After the customers had finished their extension they needed the outside space to compliment the house and decided on some composite decking with steps leading down to the lawn.
Some previous builders had constructed a concrete base and some steps, however, the base wasn't straight and the steps left a lot to be desired!
As with all decking, it's the framing that takes time but when done correctly, it makes the boarding look great! It was decided to run the boards straight out instead of along the decking or at an angle, this was due to the fact that as you walked out of the sliding doors, the eye was drawn to follow along the lines of the boards and down into the rest of the garden.
You will notice from the images that there is a single board running along the outside of the whole of the composite decking and steps. This makes the job substantially more difficult to construct but is worth the extra time and money. As you can see it gives the whole deck a classy look that oozes quality!
