Limestone with Sandstone and Granite Patio

Large paving areas like this project present a opportunity to do something different. The customers started with a visit to our garden display showground in Hickstead. The Garden Design process then started and soon found that the customers didn’t want anything to intricate or fancy. They wanted a patio that had some but not to much detail.

The area was over 140m2 and rectangular in shape. We decided to use circles to break the large area up and join them together to make an interesting feature. The antique grey limestone was used for main area of the patio with raj green tumbled sandstone for the centre circles. The centre circle was made different by adding grey sandstone setts going around the circle.

As you can see from the before photos and video, the existing sandstone patio was poorly built and needed replacing. The garden wall surrounding the patio was in good condition, therefore now work was need apart from creating an additional step to the far left so that y could access the patio from the side without going onto the path.

The Result

The final result was fantastic, the large area with the combination of limestone and sandstone works beautifully to create a good looking paved area with some nice detailing with the circles.
