Landscaped back garden incorporating sandstone patios and garden building.

This property based in Burgess Hill had four buildings including a shed and summer house that had to be cleared before landscaping could start. This long and narrow back garden went through a garden design process that covered a wide range of possibilities for such a large area.

The customer chose a more minimal clean look for the garden that incorporated a large new lawn and garden building at the back.

The back of the garden required a retaining wall that was built from Bivio bricks with black mortar, this work very well with the grey sandstone patio and the garden buildings anchorite grey aluminium cladding.

The area directly outside the patio doors was landscaped to be neat and tidy built with grey sandstone and a garden brick wall built from old farmhouse bricks.

The steps build with a brick edging that had alternate bricks of old farmhouse used in the wall by the house and Bivio bricks used for the retaining wall at the back by the garden building.

The Result

The finished result of this project was great. A minimalistic design with natural materials changed this garden into a useable outdoor space that the customer will enjoy for years to come.
