Contemporary Front Garden Transformation in Hassocks
This case study is an extension of the previous back garden landscaping project, continuing the same contemporary style and materials around to the front of the property. As the house is positioned on a corner plot, it benefits from a large front garden area that wraps around the side of the house. However, the existing space consisted of a tired and poor-quality paved entrance, a large lawn and a small amount of planting, which made the area feel dated and required regular maintenance.
The customers wanted to create a smarter, more practical front garden that would complement the newly landscaped rear garden while being much easier to maintain throughout the year. To achieve this, the existing lawn was removed and replaced with a loose aggregate stone called Black Ice. The stone provides a clean, contemporary finish while significantly reducing the amount of ongoing lawn maintenance required.
