They awarded the project to Kennedy Landscapes believing we have the right skill set to achieve a great result. This project wasn’t without its challenges especially when installing the glass balustrade system.
We started by taking out the old decking and hedge leaving the main framework that was in good order. With some finishing work to the framing, it was time to get the steel posts that support the balustrade framing installed on the frame underneath the decking boards. We had to install these posts within a 3-5mm accuracy otherwise the balustrade framing wouldn’t fit.
We built a picture-framing edge board around the whole deck and steps and it is this type of attention to detail that gives the decking its class.
The beautiful grain effect on the composite boards looks great and will not require any maintenance and will look as good in 10 years as they do now.
