It was important for the customer to have a garden that was easy to maintain, as well as some space for planting, which was achieved with a raised curved flower bed.
There was an existing retaining wall running along the side of the house that made the walkway very tight. After some thought and looking at many different options, we settled on using a retaining wall block that didn’t require mortar. The rustic blocks worked beautifully to create a 27-metre long retaining wall from the front of the driveway to the back fence. We also decided to use the same blocks to create the raised flower bed and a step up from the patio to the artificial grass.
The decking space was created using composite decking boards that are very hard to wear and don’t require any painting or staining. Lights were fitted into the edge board to give it a glow at night. A very classy feature that also allows extended use of the space into the evenings.
The grey sandstone patio with curved linear drainage works beautifully with the rest of the garden creating a stunning space for all to enjoy!
