Astonashing transformation of a back garden
This property in Partridge Green was in need of a total rebuild. The old pond was falling apart and the existing paving has been down for decades.
We started as most projects do with a garden design. The first stage was for Kennedy Landscapes to produce 3 concept designs. The choice and proportion of different materials was very important to the customer because an easy to maintain garden that looks great all year round was the top priority.
We kept with a two level garden because it was the best use of the space. The unusual thing about the top level was the use of two different multi-sizes sandstone slabs (Raj and Grey) divided with Old York Setts with artificial grass circles separating the paving areas. This was then finished with a grey composite deck raised slightly above the paving, it will be a beautiful place to have a table and chairs and look over the garden.
The closed board fencing running around the perimeter of the garden was constructed with concrete posts and gravel boards meaning that the only thing to be replaced in the future will be the panels and not the structure.
The retaining wall flower bed had irrigation installed and is ready for some planting. The lower area is resin bound on a permeable base meaning the whole area will drain straight through. It is a beautify product to use and looks great plus is very easy to maintain.
