They were originally thinking of having a grey sandstone patio as the main seating area. However, after visiting our garden display at Hicsktead they fell in love with the composited decking we built around our garden building.
It was the right decision for this garden as you can see from the photos. By taking out the path and having the decking and artificial grass spanning the width of the garden it gives the garden a larger feel.
Like most young families, having an easy-to-maintain garden requiring very little maintenance is so important. The Curved flower bed built with granite setts gives some character and softens the straight lines in the garden while giving some nature at the same time.
The storage area at the bottom of the garden is built with grey sandstone and this is separated from the main space with some elegant slat screening, where bins and storage can be hidden from view.
