Block Paving Driveway
This customer's existing concrete driveway had been down for 20 years and was in need of a change. We were able to lay a brand new block paving driveway to help bring the property up to date and add some kerb appeal to the house.
The level of the current drive was too close to the damp proof course, so we started the excavation to allow for the new driveway's level to be 150mm below the damp-proof course. This complies with building regulations to ensure a safe and robust driveway.
We installed a linear drain along the front of the house to catch any excess rainwater running from the driveway. This water was then sent through a gully and into a new soakaway that we constructed in the middle of the drive.
The flower bed along the left-hand side was created using solid edging that complimented the block pavers and down the side of the house, we created a raised flower bed with a dividing wall and cast-iron gate, all of which match the driveway to bring the whole project together.
